Become part of McLane as an HR Generalist, where you will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources team. This position provides a competitive annual salary between $70,304 and $73,000, along with eligibility for an annual bonus plan. Requirements

  • Must hold a bachelor's degree.
  • Requires more than two years of Human Resources experience.
  • Must have practical experience in training and coaching.
  • Familiarity with safety practice guidelines is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel, is required; familiarity with PowerPoint is beneficial, and experience with PeopleSoft is preferred.
  • Able to identify and address issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Capable of examining and interpreting data, transactions, policies, and business procedures.
  • Must be a clear communicator, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues at all levels.
  • Able to thrive in a varied and fast-moving work atmosphere.
  • This role requires reading, writing, and understanding English at a level sufficient to perform job duties effectively and safely.

What You Will Do

  • Support and observe various training programs to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Lead mandatory training sessions on harassment, substance abuse, and safety.
  • Keep records related to FMLA, Workers Compensation, safety investigations, and evacuation plans.
  • Organize special events, such as health fairs and team gatherings.
  • Oversee the hiring process in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Formulate recruitment plans, manage job postings, and participate in career fairs.
  • Review applications, verify references, and coordinate pre-employment procedures.
  • Boost team morale through communication and policy clarification.
  • Arrange team meetings and assist with new hire orientation sessions.
