Nearbylifes ("we" or "us") operates a public directory of housing, job, and service listings compiled from publicly available classified advertisements. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you visit the site and how it is used. Nearbylifes does not offer user accounts, listing submission, or private messaging, and you do not need to provide any personal information to browse it.

1. Information We Collect

  • Browsing information: When you request a page, our hosting provider's server records standard technical details, including your IP address, browser type, referring page, the requested URL (which includes any search keywords you type into the site search), and the time of the request. These server logs are used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site.
  • Listing content: The listings shown on the site are descriptions of publicly posted advertisements. They are not visitor profiles and are not linked to you when you view them.
  • Accounts: We do not offer accounts and do not ask visitors for names, home addresses, phone numbers, or payment details.

2. Cookies, Advertising, and Third Parties

Browsing listings does not require cookies. Where parts of the site display advertising, third-party advertising vendors — including Google — may use cookies or similar technologies such as web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

  • Do Not Track: there is no consistent industry standard for "Do Not Track" signals; we do not run cross-site tracking of our own.

Nearbylifes is a general-audience listings directory and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; when we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
