About This Jobs

At First Pointe Management Group (FPMG), we take a different approach. While we are a property management company, we are also a team that values innovative thinking, practical creativity, and providing individuals the freedom to excel. We own, develop, and manage a diverse mix of commercial and residential properties, and we take pride in doing so with care and intention.

Why This Role Stands Out

As a Commercial Property Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a highly stable commercial industrial property spanning 179,000 square feet in Newbury Park, CA, exercising independent judgment in decision-making. This role requires a customer service-oriented professional who is highly organized, solutions-driven, and dedicated to maintaining the high standards we deliver to our clients.

We understand that property management can sometimes require long hours, which is why this position supports a genuine work-life balance. Your workweek will not exceed 35 hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This allows you more time with family and friends.

The salary for this position ranges from $33 to $38 per hour, plus 100% of leasing and renewal commissions. Final compensation depends on experience and qualifications.

We are also offering a one-time sign-on bonus of $1,500, which will be paid on the first payroll after thirty days of employment (less applicable taxes). To be eligible, you must start the position on or before 6/15/26 and mention the sign-on bonus during initial contact with our recruiter or HR representative during the interview process. Current employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate new leases, create lease abstracts, prepare lease and renewal documentation, and manage tenant move-ins and move-outs.
  • Administer building policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary contact for tenants, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on property performance, budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports.
  • Conduct quarterly market surveys and manage marketing efforts.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee capital improvements, including bids, awarding contracts, and scheduling work.
  • Travel for market comparisons or site coverage to support another team member.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, or a related field is required.
  • A California Real Estate Salesperson License is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Two or more years of experience in commercial property management, with a focus on industrial real estate. Ideal for a seasoned assistant property manager ready to advance their career.
  • Strong technical skills are essential, including proficiency in MS Office and Yardi software.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Industry expertise in managing office, industrial, and warehouse properties, including lease negotiations and financial reporting, is also required.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license and insurance.
  • The position also requires availability for after-hours emergencies.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong judgment, discretion, integrity, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Our Benefits That Benefit You

We promote a vibrant and enjoyable work environment. The company offers eligible employees (and their families) the opportunity to enroll in various benefit programs, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. We also provide a robust Employee Assistance Program for employees and certain family members. Employees can enroll in our company’s flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plans, and life and disability insurance programs. Employees will accrue up to 80 hours annually of vacation and California paid sick leave. They will also enjoy nine paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
