About This Jobs

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Property Manager to oversee our residential community. The ideal candidate has a strong record in property operations, but their true strength lies in managing relationships with tenants. You know how to create a welcoming environment, handle difficult tenant issues with grace and professionalism, and keep retention rates high.

If you are a skilled communicator who enjoys solving problems, maintaining high occupancy, and keeping a property running smoothly, we want to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tenant Relations and Community Building: Act as the main contact for all resident questions, requests, and concerns. Resolve tenant disagreements and lease violations in a diplomatic and timely manner.
  • Leasing and Retention: Manage the entire leasing process—from showing vacant units and performing background checks to signing leases and leading proactive renewal strategies.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Work with the maintenance team and outside vendors to ensure work orders are completed efficiently and the property stays in excellent condition.
  • Financial Management: Oversee timely rent collection, manage late payments, handle security deposits, and assist with budget preparation and expense tracking.
  • Compliance: Ensure full adherence to local, state, and federal Fair Housing laws, building codes, and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: At least 3 to 5 years of property management experience, with a strong focus on direct tenant management and conflict resolution.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must be able to set clear boundaries with tenants while maintaining a polite and professional approach.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with property management software (such as Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage, or Entrata) and standard Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of landlord-tenant laws and Fair Housing guidelines.
