We are looking for a seasoned and highly driven Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the oversight of all areas within our warehouse operations. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, the selected applicant will aid in managing inventory, directing a team, and maintaining efficient and secure warehouse practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily staff schedules.
• Assist in managing day-to-day operations, covering the receipt, storage, and dispatch of furniture.
• Ensure that effective warehousing processes are followed.
• Lead, train, and guide warehouse employees.
• Conduct monthly safety training sessions in collaboration with the Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure rigorous adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
• Keep the warehouse environment clean and systematically organized.
• Work with different departments to promote seamless operations.
• Supervise the timely maintenance of vehicles.
• Document and report disciplinary matters to the Warehouse Manager.
• Perform unannounced site inspections to verify full compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Identify and implement strategies to enhance overall productivity.
• Manage schedules to reduce overtime as much as possible.
• Communicate regularly with crews to obtain precise updates on job completion status.

Qualifications

• Proven background as an Assistant Warehouse Manager or in a comparable role.
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and management best practices.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced setting and juggle multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and a dedication to workplace safety.
