Karma Dog Training, a reputable company established in 2004, is looking for a compassionate and dependable dog enthusiast to join our team as an Independent Contractor. This is a compassion-focused position that emphasizes positive reinforcement techniques to assist dogs and their owners in developing good habits. You will enjoy complete schedule freedom, allowing you to choose your own work hours, while benefiting from a consistent stream of client referrals. Typical earnings range from $40 to $75 per hour, depending on your experience and client volume.
Requirements
- A cheerful, encouraging personality and a positive reinforcement approach.
- Strong communication abilities and dependability.
- A readiness to learn and implement our established training methods.
- Comfort with working independently and organizing your own timetable.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- No formal certification is necessary—we prioritize attitude and a desire to learn over official credentials.
Preferred Background (any of these areas): Dog daycare, rescue work, fostering, boarding, walking, grooming, veterinary clinic experience, or prior training involvement.
Role & Responsibilities
You will conduct in-home training sessions, aiding families with:
- Early puppy development
- Basic obedience and leash etiquette
- Polite greeting behaviors and recall exercises
- Building confidence and fostering calmer, more balanced behavior in everyday scenarios
