Overview

Love At First Sit is seeking reliable and experienced Pet Care Providers and Dog Walkers for contract, on-demand roles. Duties include cat and small pet sitting visits, dog walking, and holiday pet care. These positions are well-suited for pet-knowledgeable individuals looking for meaningful part-time work with flexible scheduling.

Compensation and Benefits

• 30-minute visits or walks: USD 18 to USD 20 per visit
• 1-hour visits or walks: USD 24 to USD 25 per hour
• Retain 100 percent of client tips
• Retain 100 percent of client-designated holiday pay
• Many clients have multiple pets, which can increase earnings per visit
• Flexibility to accept assignments that match your availability
• Independent and satisfying work
• Competitive pay per assignment

Assignment Expectations

• Provide attentive, compassionate care for pets in their own homes
• Follow individual care instructions and ensure pet safety and well-being
• Communicate clearly with pet owners, including sending written updates after visits
• Travel dependably to client residences within Santa Monica
• Complete assignments independently and with professionalism
• Respond promptly to emails, calls, and messages

Qualifications

• Experience caring for cats, small pets, or walking dogs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable transportation within the Santa Monica service area
• Smartphone required for communication and scheduling
• Comfortable handling pets with various temperaments and needs
• Understanding of basic pet behavior, health, and safety
• Required: Prior professional or volunteer animal care experience (excluding care for friends and family)
