Position Overview

Become part of a campaign supporting the Los Angeles Fire Department by promoting a ballot initiative aimed at increasing staffing and upgrading facilities. Responsibilities include canvassing in public spaces to gather signatures, having meaningful discussions with voters, and contributing to a safer city. Compensation starts at $24 per hour for Petition Circulators and $26 per hour for Leadership roles, along with additional bonuses and benefits.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States (I-9 verification required upon hiring).
  • Comfortable interacting with the public outdoors in one-on-one settings.
  • Strong enthusiasm for community advocacy, public policy, or campaign involvement.
  • Bilingual proficiency (optional, but provides an extra $2 per hour).

Role and Benefits

  • Develop skills in: Leadership, Communication and Advocacy, Community Outreach, Campaign Work, Public Policy, and Social Enterprise.
  • Earn $24 to $26 per hour with overtime possibilities.
  • Receive shift bonuses, driver bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and referral bonuses.
  • Work across multiple Los Angeles areas: Sherman Oaks, Central LA, Northeast LA, and South LA.
