Hello fellow drumming enthusiasts.
My name is Jit (Jeet) Chatterjee. I am a professional drummer based in the greater Los Angeles area. I offer drum lessons to anyone interested in learning to play. I have performed professionally for over ten years, including appearances at Disneyland Resort, international music festivals such as the Isle of Wight Festival in the UK and the Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland, and legendary venues including the Whiskey A GoGo and the Viper Room. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from William Paterson University.
I teach a variety of styles, including Rock, Jazz, Latin, Rudimental, and Bollywood. Technique is essential to drumming. I provide all my students with the fundamental building blocks to learn songs, expand their vocabulary, and most importantly, have fun.
My standard rate is $80 per hour or $60 for 45 minutes. The first lesson is offered at half price for one hour at $40. I teach from my drum studio in North Hollywood, or I can travel to your location if you have a working drum set at home. I offer both in-person and online instruction.
