Study Smart Tutors is a college and career readiness organization that works with various partners to advance educational equity, access, and achievement by delivering a wide range of resources to students, families, and educators. We provide an assortment of college access programs at no charge to our students or their families. We achieve this by collaborating with schools, outreach initiatives, and other college and career access organizations to deliver effective and streamlined college and career readiness programming, as well as classroom-based test preparation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Subjects to be taught: Math and ELA
• Deliver tutoring assistance to both small and large student groups
• Tutors will have access to information regarding class assignments
• Adjust to new materials and instructional approaches
• Maintain regular communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
• Work alongside the Study Smart Tutors Education team to implement comprehensive learning strategies for all students

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST hold a completed four-year degree
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is strongly preferred
• In-person availability is required in the following areas: San Fernando Valley, North Hollywood, Glendale, or Pasadena
• Scheduled hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM PST
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting depending on the location

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

• Competitive hourly rate: $40 per hour
• Paid Onboarding / Training / Preparation / Support: $22.00 per hour
