About Study Smart Tutors:
Study Smart Tutors is a nonprofit organization focused on college and career access. We work with partners to advance educational equity, access, and achievement by offering a broad set of resources for students, families, and educators. Our mission is centered on reducing opportunity gaps and strengthening communities through high-quality, culturally aware academic assistance.
We provide a variety of college readiness courses at no charge to students or their families. We achieve this by collaborating with schools, outreach initiatives, and other college and career access organizations to deliver efficient and effective programming, including classroom-based test preparation.

Job Responsibilities:
- Subjects to teach: Mathematics and English Language Arts
- Grade levels: Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Deliver tutoring support to both small and large groups of students
- Access information regarding class assignments
- Adjust to new materials and teaching methods
- Maintain regular communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
- Collaborate with the Study Smart Tutors Education team to implement comprehensive learning strategies for all students
Qualifications:
- Must hold a completed four-year college degree
- Strongly prefer candidates with teaching or tutoring experience
- In-person availability required in the following areas: Brentwood, Culver City, Santa Monica, and Westwood
- Scheduled hours vary by location. Must be available Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM Pacific Standard Time
- Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting depending on the location

Salary and Benefits:
- Excellent hourly rate: $40.00 per hour
- Paid onboarding, training, preparation, and support: $22.00 per hour
