Position Summary
Royal Day Solutions is committed to empowering adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities through our day service programs. We offer engaging and meaningful community-based activities that promote independence, achievement, and an improved quality of life. Our dedicated team is currently hiring a Supervisor. This role is dynamic and includes responsibilities such as staff supervision, training, program compliance, quality assurance, and direct care services. The ideal candidate will combine leadership abilities, a collaborative approach, and a genuine passion for supporting others. The Supervisor position is an hourly role that is primarily conducted in person.

Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience within Royal Day Solutions (formerly SBS) and/or 2 years of paid employment directly supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a satisfactory DMV record
- Maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications (on-the-job training and assistance are available)
- Ability to physically lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, unless restricted by a physician in writing
- Maintain a negative alcohol and drug screening in accordance with California law, obtain a cleared Tuberculosis (TB) test upon hire, and maintain a cleared Department of Justice and FBI background check
Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To
- Performing supervisory tasks assigned by the Program Director, such as communicating, providing direction and support, managing attendance, giving feedback, answering phones, emailing, faxing, scheduling, arranging coverage, handling billing, preparing reports and statistics, and tracking attendance
- Overseeing direct services and employee management, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, terminations, corrective actions, employee evaluations, facilitating or attending meetings, employee training and onboarding, conducting Royal Day Solutions recommendations and tours, managing finances, handling enrollment, investigating quality assurance issues, writing reports, collecting feedback and surveys, fulfilling mandated reporting requirements (APS/SIR), evaluating individual backgrounds, responding to emergency situations, providing direct care coverage as scheduled for emergencies, assessing skills, conducting surveys and evaluations, matching individuals with potential job openings or training programs, networking with volunteer, educational, and employment sites throughout the community, training and coaching individuals on employment goals, educational objectives, money management, technology use, signing up for classes, pre-employment skills training, soft skills training, and personal hygiene and grooming (which may include bathing, toileting, changing, dressing, and oral care), minor lifting and transferring using adaptive equipment, providing transportation, mobility training, implementing behavioral plans, and documentation
- Acting as a liaison for work, volunteer, and educational sites as well as the community, which includes researching new sites, identifying community opportunities, planning and implementing events, and managing event calendars
- Training, supporting, and collaborating with the clinical team to best assist individuals who experience behavioral or medical challenges, which may include self-injurious behaviors, property destruction, verbal aggression, and physical aggression
- Implementing training and educational opportunities for individuals by developing and writing curriculum, accessing community resources, and facilitating existing courses
- Working collaboratively with regional centers, parents and care providers, employers, community members and neighbors, coworkers and peers, and Royal Day Solutions management by maintaining open communication, using a team approach, and consistently demonstrating a positive and professional attitude
- Maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the position, which will include some evenings and weekends

Compensation: $27.00 per hour
