Study Smart Tutors – Academic Tutor (Mathematics and English Language Arts)

Position Summary: Study Smart Tutors, a nonprofit focused on college and career readiness, is hiring tutors to deliver academic support in Mathematics and English Language Arts for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. This is an on-site role located in specific areas of Los Angeles, with work hours from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. The compensation is competitive at $40 per hour, along with paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a completed 4-year degree.
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is highly preferred.
• Must be available for in-person work in one of these neighborhoods: Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, or El Sereno.
• Availability is required from Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM Pacific Time.
• Must successfully undergo and clear a background check, which may involve fingerprinting.
