Starting Salary: $70,306 - $75,000 per year depending on experience, plus a $2,000 Annual Education Stipend.

Work Setting: Special Education Program for students in Grades 8 through 12.

Job Summary

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, part of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, and Education, is looking for a Special Education Teacher to join their team. This position involves guiding the instructional process for students in Grades 8-12 who have Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). The teacher will create tailored learning experiences and deliver focused instruction within a collaborative and energetic educational environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education, or a directly related field.
• A valid state teaching license or active progress toward obtaining one.
• A current education specialist or special education instruction credential (mild to moderate) or active progress toward obtaining it.
• Ability to complete and maintain certification in a company-approved crisis management training program.
• Previous experience in curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and teaching, ideally in an alternative, special education, or behavioral health context.
• Understanding of special education services and compliance for students with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and other related conditions.
• Demonstrated history of creating and implementing effective educational plans for students with varied needs.
• Skills in instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and standard office equipment.
