Overview

Royal Day Solutions is looking for a caring and proactive Supervisor to join our day service program that empowers adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role is primarily in person and combines staff management, program compliance, quality assurance, and direct client support. The perfect candidate is a cooperative leader who is dedicated to promoting independence and improving quality of life through community-based activities.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of experience with Royal Day Solutions (formerly SBS) or 2 years of paid work experience directly assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License, current car insurance, and an acceptable DMV record.
  • Ability to obtain and keep First Aid and CPR certifications (training provided on the job).
  • Able to physically lift and carry up to 25 pounds (unless medically exempt).
  • Must maintain a negative alcohol/drug screen, a cleared Tuberculosis (TB) test upon hiring, and a cleared and maintained Department of Justice/FBI clearance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Key Duties

  • Oversee direct services and staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and corrective measures.
  • Handle supervisory administrative tasks such as billing, reports, statistics, attendance monitoring, communication, and shift coverage.
  • Serve as a connection to work/volunteer sites, educational systems, and the community; research new opportunities and coordinate event planning.
  • Work with the clinical team to assist individuals facing behavioral or medical challenges.
  • Create and implement training and educational programs and opportunities for individuals served.
  • Maintain professional collaboration with regional centers, parents/caregivers, employers, and community members.
  • Provide direct care when needed, which may involve personal hygiene assistance, mobility training, transportation, and carrying out behavioral plans.
