Overview

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is hiring an Instructional Aide to join its Special Education team. This position provides essential support within a special education elementary school setting, working alongside teachers to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and encourage student development. The starting pay is $18 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, along with passing a basic skills test.
  • An associate degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company-approved crisis management training (PCM).
  • A paraprofessional, paraeducator, teaching assistant, or similar credential is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a special education setting.
  • Experience working with students who have autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, or challenging behaviors.
  • Comfortable driving or riding in a company van with students.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, instructional technology, and basic office equipment.
