About This Jobs

Protex manufactures custom foam inserts designed to protect and organize hand tools, aerospace parts and tools, as well as consumer products such as firearms and cameras. These inserts are intended for use with cases and tool cabinets.

Note

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

This role involves collaborating with customers and the design team to create tool layouts using our editing software, generating project renderings, and preparing production sheets.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience with CorelDraw and/or knowledge of the Adobe suite of products.
• CAM experience with software such as CamWorks or other similar CAM tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and modify 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Create and optimize CAM tool paths for CNC routers using CAMWorks.
• Use proprietary software to design and produce layouts for customers.
• Prepare project travelers and proper documentation, including work instructions.
• Provide daily guidance to one off-site designer and one part-time in-house designer.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience. A full performance review and salary increase will take place after your 60- to 90-day training period.
