Overview

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) degree, technical degree, or comparable industry-specific work experience showing strong technical skills.
• Solid proficiency in AutoCAD and drafting abilities are preferred.
• Familiarity with current California codes and standards (California Mechanical Code, CALGreen Code, California Energy Code) is preferred.
• Training in Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred, with Revit MEP experience preferred.
• Software skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office 365 are preferred.
• Excellent abilities in time management and project prioritization.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate is strongly preferred.
• A growth mindset is required.

Role and Responsibilities

• Carry out basic engineering tasks such as zoning, equipment layout, load calculations, and team coordination with guidance.
• Create Design Development Drawings and Construction Documents during the design phase, applying relevant code knowledge with support.
• Coordinate plan revisions with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) to facilitate project permitting during the approval phase.
• Deliver Construction Administration services to help implement designs during the construction phase, with support.
