Lead Designer Position
This is a full-time opportunity located either in Santa Barbara, California, or in Los Angeles, with the expectation of being present at our Santa Barbara design studio multiple days each week.
Position Overview
Corinne Mathern Studio is looking for an experienced and methodical Lead Designer to serve as the driving force behind daily project progress. This leadership position involves directing the design process from initial concept through final installation, overseeing client and vendor communications, and maintaining the studio's elevated standards for luxury residential and commercial interiors.
Qualifications
- At least eight years of experience in interior design, including a minimum of three years in a senior or lead role at a firm focused on high-end or luxury interiors.
- Proven track record of managing entire project lifecycles with minimal supervision.
- A compelling portfolio that demonstrates work aligned with luxury, custom residential, or commercial interior design.
- Exceptional leadership, task delegation, and proactive communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in design documentation, detailing, and product specifications.
- High competence in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Studio Designer (or similar software).
- Outstanding composure during client meetings and superior organizational abilities.
