Entry Level Roles – Assisting Students for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
INTERCARE is currently recruiting for entry level roles.
General Information
Prepare for the upcoming school year. Training begins in July to support students. We will teach you how to work with children to promote their learning and development. This role involves delivering in-home behavioral support to children diagnosed with autism and their families. Pay ranges from $20.25 to $23.00 per hour for full-time or part-time positions.
Qualifications
- Education Requirement – applicants must satisfy one of these criteria:
- High school diploma plus at least one completed college course.
- High school diploma and current enrollment in college.
- Associate's degree or bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
- High school diploma is mandatory.
- Prior experience with children is preferred.
- Must be available between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Must possess reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and active auto insurance.
- Proof of immunization records and a TB test are required.
- Must successfully complete a background check.
Physical Demands
- Activities include walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching overhead, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Work may involve engaging with children on the floor or in child-sized environments.
- Must consistently monitor the safety of the child and the surroundings.
- Quick and abrupt movements may be necessary.
- Sustained physical effort may be required for periods of up to 45 minutes.
