Research Study for Volunteers with High Uric Acid Levels

The California Clinical Trials Medical Group, managed by Parexel and situated in Glendale, CA, is currently looking for volunteers to take part in a clinical research study.

Overview

This study is designed to assess a medication or a placebo in individuals who have high uric acid levels but have not been diagnosed with Gout. Those who take part will be required to attend multiple appointments, including an overnight stay at the facility. The maximum compensation for the primary study is $12,050, with an extra $100 possible for the pre-screening phase.

Requirements

• Men and women with elevated uric acid and no Gout diagnosis.
• Must be between 25 and 75 years old.
• Must have a BMI between 20 and 40.
• Light smokers may be eligible.
• Cannabis users may be eligible.

*No smoking is allowed during the in-house stay or within 24 hours before each visit.*

Study Schedule

• One pre-screening visit.
• One screening visit.
• One admission for 5 days and 4 nights.
• Eight follow-up visits.
