LA Apartments, a prominent and rapidly expanding multi-family company, is seeking a skilled bilingual Collection Manager. This key role supports the daily operations of our accounting and receivables department, involving the management of overdue accounts, administrative duties, and direct coordination with tenants to ensure outstanding balances are resolved quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational abilities, a dedication to customer service, and the capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Job Description

Candidates must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in tenant collections.

Responsibilities

• Ensure balances are current and accurate on a daily basis.
• Prepare and revise legal notices for delinquent tenants.
• Work closely with resident managers and regional managers to collect account balances.
• Communicate with tenants and resident managers regarding delinquencies.
• Audit account fees and report incorrect data.
• Run reports and analyze data related to the department, sharing findings with executive staff and department managers as needed.
• Implement tenant collection policies and procedures to maintain smooth department operations and prevent excessive debt.
• Create and implement strategies to increase successful collections on outstanding debt.
• Oversee the collection of outstanding balances and invoices to minimize profit loss while ensuring compliance with company policy.

Skills Required

• 2-4 years of experience in collections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in finance preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish).

The pay is $30.00 per hour plus bonuses based on collections.
