Overview

United Staffing Associates is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant for an immediate opening with a manufacturing client. The role requires solid knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and some Accounts Payable (AP) experience. The ideal candidate must be organized, precise, and attentive to detail.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, specifically in AR and AP.
• Skilled in applying customer payments, processing invoices, RMA, and credit memos.
• Experience with collections via phone and email, handling overdue accounts, and resolving payment issues.
• Ability to maintain account spreadsheets and match invoices with purchase orders.
• Experience processing weekly ACH and check runs.
• Duties include opening mail, filing, sorting documents, and handling AR-related phone calls.
• Strong computer skills required, including proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, MS Office, and Outlook.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
