Overview

An expanding real estate organization is looking for a Controller to oversee financial audits and system management. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy across various accounts, detecting irregularities, and establishing robust financial controls to facilitate rapid growth. This is not a simple bookkeeping position. Timely communication and responsiveness are essential.

Requirements

• Substantial expertise in QuickBooks is mandatory.
• Familiarity with AppFolio or property management accounting.
• Understanding of CAM reconciliations, trust accounts, or real estate accounting.
• Audit, controller, or financial oversight background is highly preferred.
• Detail-oriented with the capability to quickly identify inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

• Audit and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks and AppFolio.
• Identify, document, and resolve discrepancies or calculation errors.
• Review financial reports, profit and loss statements, and budgets for precision.
• Assist with preparing 1099 forms for agents and staff.
• Provide oversight and accountability across all accounting operations.
• Suggest enhancements to financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
• Support management with financial strategy and growth planning.
