About Us

This short-term culinary pop-up is led by the chef team from noma in Copenhagen, operating in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen focused on precision, creativity, and continuous learning. Every role contributes to the overall operation, where behind-the-scenes work is as important as what is presented to the guest. The pop-up will run through the end of June 2026.

Overview

The Dishwasher supports the culinary team by ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen. This position is vital to the daily service flow and guarantees that the culinary team has the necessary tools to work efficiently and safely.

Core Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, dry, and store kitchen tools, cookware, and utensils.
  • Clean and safely store plateware, flatware, and glassware.
  • Keep the dishwashing and pot-wash areas clean, organized, and functional.
  • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and surrounding areas as directed.
  • Remove trash, recycling, and compost, and maintain clean disposal areas.
  • Break down boxes and assist with general kitchen organization.
  • Clean kitchen floors and support end-of-shift cleanup.
  • Refill cleaning supplies and notify leadership when items need restocking.
  • Support cooks and kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed.
  • Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 1-2 years of Dishwasher experience in a fine dining restaurant environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard restaurant service procedures.
  • Knowledge of each job function on the floor and understanding of service priorities.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must be available to work days, nights, and weekends.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is a bonus.

Health and Safety

CA Food Handler’s Certification. Adhere to the highest standards of food safety, food handling, sanitation, workplace safety, and hygiene requirements according to the Los Angeles Department of Health standards to ensure the health and safety of team members and guests.

Work Environment

  • Involves standing and walking the entire shift.
  • Involves holding objects with hands.
  • Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently.
  • Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
