Overview

Wok Line Cooks are tasked with preparing, cooking, and plating all wok line items at Din Tai Fung. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $25.75 per hour and mandates flexible scheduling availability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Master all wok recipes, cooking times, and techniques following Din Tai Fung’s standards.
• Inspect ingredient quality before starting the cooking process.
• Prepare ingredients according to Din Tai Fung’s recipes.
• Plate finished dishes in line with Din Tai Fung’s presentation guidelines.
• Prepare and cut garnishes for wok line items.
• Label all products in compliance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung protocols.
• Participate in monthly staff and wok meetings.

Supporting Functions

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen areas.
• Organize items within walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Lift and move boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds).
• Assist with routine deep cleaning of the kitchen.
• Preserve confidentiality regarding proprietary information, including recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Job Requirements

• Friendly, energetic, and highly motivated to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Flexible scheduling availability is required.
• Willingness to learn and embrace challenges.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must provide documentation proving legal authorization to work in the United States.
