Overview

Hunter Employment LLC is recruiting Mechanic Helpers and Welders to conduct maintenance and repair tasks within geothermal plant facilities. This role involves assisting mechanics, executing fundamental duties under supervision, and following rigorous industrial safety guidelines in high-heat conditions.

Requirements

• Basic familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment.
• Capability to interpret gauges and follow written directions.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards.
• Ability to operate in high-temperature and high-pressure settings.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate at elevated heights.
• Capacity to stand, bend, and kneel for prolonged durations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support mechanics in the maintenance and repair of geothermal plant machinery.
• Carry out basic mechanical tasks under guidance (disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly).
• Contribute to preventive maintenance programs aligned with plant timetables.
• Assist with repairs to pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves.
• Help maintain geothermal brine and steam piping networks.
• Ensure cleanliness in mechanical rooms and maintenance zones.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) and confined space safety protocols.
• Monitor and report equipment irregularities, including leaks, unusual vibrations, or overheating.
• Support plant outages and turnaround activities.
• Keep precise maintenance records as instructed.
