Inspection Specialist - Night Shift
Overview
Rantec Microwave Systems, Inc. currently has an immediate opening for an Inspection Specialist for the Night Shift. This role involves performing mechanical inspections on machined components, complex assemblies, and brazed assemblies.
Job Duties
- Operate a personal computer using Windows-based software such as Word and Excel.
- Read, interpret, and follow mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, manufacturing procedures, quality procedures, and industry specifications.
- Program and operate CMM machines using PCDMIS software.
- Utilize handheld inspection tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet compliance standards.
Skill Requirements
- Must be capable of performing all types of mechanical inspection using various handheld equipment.
- Able to write programs and operate CMM machines with PCDMIS software.
- Understand and interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical inspection experience, including operating and programming PCDMIS-based CMM machines.
- Knowledge of dip brazing is a plus.
Important Notes
Must be able to obtain a security clearance to perform all duties associated with this position.
Work Schedule
- This position will work the day shift for 30 to 90 days before transitioning to the night shift.
- Day shift hours are from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday.
- Night shift hours are from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am, 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle up to approximately 20 pounds.
