Cloacina LLC is seeking a Project Manager in Arroyo Grande, CA. Arroyo Grande is a coastal city located just a short distance from Pismo Beach.

Overview

This is a full-time position with benefits at a manufacturer of pre-packaged wastewater treatment systems. Compensation is DOE (Depending on Experience). Prior experience in the wastewater or water treatment sector is beneficial but not required. Applicants must possess a clean DMV record. Occasional travel may be necessary.

Requirements and Responsibilities

• Hold meetings with clients and contractors regarding ongoing project contracts.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to prepare accurate project bids and proposals.
• Specify and purchase pumps, blowers, valves, fittings, and similar components for projects.
• Coordinate with the production shop to ensure project-specific timelines are met.
• Work with the design and engineering departments to create production sub-assemblies and project-specific shop drawings.
• Conduct risk analysis.
• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Engage in business partnering.
• Work effectively with vendors.
• Oversee quality control.
• Provide team leadership.
• Manage documentation.
• Perform time estimation.
• Conduct cost estimation.
• Ensure effective communication.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Monitor and report on project progress.

The wastewater industry presents potential hazards due to exposure to biological and chemical risks, as well as physical dangers. These include, but are not limited to: confined spaces, slips, falls, wet or humid conditions, high or low altitudes, moving mechanical parts, elevated or precarious locations, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, vibration, sewage, epoxy coatings, solvents, and high noise levels.

Employees may come into contact with wastewater that contains human waste. Wastewater can contain various bacteria, viruses, and parasites capable of causing disease in humans and animals. Workers may be exposed through direct contact with wastewater, inhalation of aerosols carrying pathogens, or contaminated equipment. Wastewater treatment processes also involve the use of various chemicals, some of which may be toxic or corrosive.

It is essential that employees wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols. Although not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that employees remain current with vaccinations, including those for Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, and Diphtheria.
