Financial Analyst and Accountant

This position is full-time and includes benefits.

General Description

We are looking for a seasoned accountant and financial analyst, ideally with experience in food production. The right candidate must be self-driven, maintain a constructive outlook, and have the skills to oversee all accounting operations, enforce GAAP standards, and guide financial planning and analysis to help meet business goals.

Necessary Qualifications

• Background in accounting and financial analysis, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage all accounting areas: general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, benefits, and tax filing.
• Thorough familiarity with GAAP and a track record of keeping precise, current financial records and generating reports.
• Experience in creating monthly and quarterly financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and bank covenant documents.
• Proficiency in designing and overseeing yearly budgets and financial projections.
• Skilled in financial planning and analysis to deliver strategic recommendations.
• Familiarity with product cost calculations, including activity-based costing and bill of materials management.
• Capability to establish departmental targets using the SMART framework.
• Experience in training, guiding, and supervising accounting team members.
• Solid grasp of internal control systems, rule enforcement, and teamwork across departments.
• Readiness to adjust to shifting tasks while preserving excellent precision and professionalism.
• Consistent presence and dependability in performing leadership duties.
