We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join our team for an independent documentary film project inspired by the world of Twin Peaks and David Lynch.

This is a hybrid position that blends outreach, partnership development, public relations, and executive assistance, making it ideal for someone who thrives on both communication and coordination.

Overview

This hybrid role supports an independent documentary film project. Responsibilities include outreach, partnership building, PR, and executive support. Compensation begins at a minimum of $20 per hour for 20-30 hours per week.

What You Will Do

Outreach and Partnerships

• Contact independent movie theaters to organize film screenings in the United States and internationally.
• Develop relationships with organizations, communities, and potential curators.
• Reach out to media outlets including TV stations, radio shows, podcasts, and magazines for interviews and coverage.
• Engage with film reviewers, cinephile communities, and digital creators on platforms such as Instagram.
• Help generate organic buzz and awareness around the film.

Executive and Operations Support

• Assist the director and marketing director with scheduling and calendar management.
• Track tasks, deadlines, and ongoing outreach progress.
• Help coordinate communications and follow-ups.
• Support general day-to-day operations of the project.

Who You Are

• Strong communicator in both written and verbal forms.
• Organized and reliable.
• Comfortable reaching out to new people via email, social media, or other channels.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.

Big Plus

• Interest in David Lynch or Twin Peaks.
• Passion for independent film, cinema culture, or film distribution.
• Experience with outreach, PR, or social media.

Details

Hybrid position: remote or in office located in South Pasadena.

20-30 hours per week, with compensation starting at a minimum of $20 per hour.
