Social Skills Trainer
Potential on the Rise is seeking energetic and compassionate Social Skills Trainers to provide one-on-one support for children with autism and developmental differences.
Overview
Our trainers assist children in developing communication, self-assurance, and social interaction abilities through play, games, and activities in real-world settings. This role is not clinic-based. Sessions take place in homes, parks, and community locations, allowing children to practice skills in natural environments. If you enjoy working with children and are looking for a meaningful, active, and fulfilling job, this position could be an excellent match.
Pay and Schedule
25 dollars per hour. Typical schedules range from 10 to 20 hours per week, primarily during afternoons and early evenings. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between clients. Most sessions occur within 10 to 15 miles of your home area.
Requirements
- Experience with children is preferred (childcare, camps, youth programs, etc.)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working in homes and community environments
- Strong communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check required
