Housing Specialist
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: 100% Onsite

Overview
APLA Health is looking for a committed Housing Specialist to support clients in finding and securing housing. This role utilizes supportive services to aid clients in retaining stable, long-term housing and involves building collaborative partnerships with community organizations. Compensation for this position ranges from $26.37 to $29.68 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related discipline is preferred.
- Alternatively, a High School diploma or GED along with at least three years of direct service experience as a Case Manager working with HIV/AIDS clients, homeless individuals, or clients with other chronic conditions is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and effectively use other database systems, such as Salesforce.
- Must hold a valid California driver’s license, provide proof of auto liability insurance, and have access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster, or an approved Medical or Religious Exemption, are required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake and assessments, and develop housing plans to identify needs and obstacles.
- Provide monthly follow-up, including home visits, to support housing stability.
- Help clients complete applications for housing and financial assistance programs.
- Teach essential life skills and inform clients about neighborhood resources and tenant rights.
- Maintain well-organized client files, case notes, and all related documentation.
- Record and manage statistical client information in the organizational database.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
