This role offers an hourly wage of $26.37 to $29.68. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience.

Overview

APLA Health is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare and support services. We are currently seeking a meticulous Quality Improvement Specialist to oversee initiatives that enhance clinical performance metrics. This is a non-clinical position concentrating on data analysis, patient involvement, and collaboration with care teams to improve service excellence.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a medical office or comparable setting is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication and project management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and professional telephone manners are required.
  • Familiarity with HEDIS measures and HRSA standards is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (eClinicalWorks is preferred) and insurance programs such as Medi-Cal or Medicare.
  • Ability to employ critical thinking, solve problems effectively, and uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Must hold a valid California driver’s license, provide proof of auto insurance, and have access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
  • COVID-19 vaccination and Booster, or an approved Medical or Religious Exemption is required.

Essential Duties

  • Direct quality and process enhancement projects to boost clinical performance indicators.
  • Gather, examine, and track data to pinpoint improvement opportunities and obstacles.
  • Collaborate with clinical care teams to roll out clinic-wide strategies.
  • Monitor diagnostic tests and referrals, and maintain thorough project records.
  • Travel to various APLA Health & Wellness clinic locations for meetings and activities.
  • Perform patient outreach to schedule appointments and assist with accessing services.
