Overview

Are you a driven professional in biopharmaceutical sales? Lundbeck, a global company dedicated solely to brain health, is seeking a Psychiatry Account Manager to lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio in this region. This role focuses on driving sales performance through strategic execution and in-depth clinical knowledge. The position offers a salary range of $125,000 to $147,000, eligibility for a sales incentive target of $40,500, and comprehensive benefits.

Essential Functions

  • Business Planning and Account Leadership: Utilize digital tools and data analysis to create strategies, allocate resources, and enhance sales outcomes.
  • Selling: Communicate clear and persuasive messages, identify customer needs, and secure commitments to action.
  • Customer Development: Foster productive relationships internally and externally through a comprehensive account management approach.
  • Local Market and Therapeutic Area Expertise: Monitor market trends and apply specialized knowledge to prioritize opportunities effectively.
  • Reimbursement: Keep abreast of reimbursement changes and address payer access issues efficiently.
  • Pharmaceutical Environment and Compliance: Understand regulatory requirements and adhere to all Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited institution.
  • Two or more years of sales experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical devices, or related healthcare fields.
  • Strong intellectual ability to succeed in disease and product training exams and achieve annual product certification.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must reside within 40 miles of the territory boundaries.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record meeting company standards. Driving is an essential duty of this role.
  • Ability to satisfy standard credentialing requirements set by healthcare providers and customer facilities.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills

  • Experience in a specialty product sales team.
  • Experience promoting CNS or neuroscience products (such as those for depression, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder).
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance.
  • Experience in developing and executing integrated account plans.
  • Strong analytical skills using sales data reporting tools.
  • Experience with product launches.
  • Experience working with alliance partners, such as co-promotions.
  • Leadership experience through committee work, panels, or job rotations.

Travel

Willingness and ability to travel 30 percent to 40 percent domestically to meet with customers, attend internal meetings, and typically attend 4 to 8 conferences per year within the United States.
