Overview

ManTech is looking for a driven, career-focused individual to fill the role of Personnel Security Specialist II. This position involves managing personnel security tasks for the client's site and organization, delivering daily PERSEC support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) operations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update tracking spreadsheets and databases for client PERSEC tasks.
  • Assist with security awareness and education initiatives.
  • Carry out various administrative support duties as assigned by the contractor site lead or Government Security Representative.
  • Assess, track, and monitor security clearance processes with relevant government officials to ensure proper clearance actions.
  • Perform checks of the Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP for candidates seeking SAP access.
  • Handle data entry and record verification in the Joint Access Database (JADE), maintaining all client-sponsored personnel access information.
  • Accept and send classified visit requests as needed to meet client requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; an extra 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 4 years of applicable SCI experience.
  • Familiarity with security policies, manuals, and relevant ICDs, JAFANs, DOD Manuals, and other guiding documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of SAP-related experience.

Clearance Requirements

  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Eligibility to access Special Access Program information.
  • Willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move within the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • Regularly operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
  • Frequently communicate with colleagues, management, and clients, including delivering presentations. Must accurately exchange information in these contexts.
