Overview
ManTech is seeking a motivated, career-oriented individual for the role of Personnel Security Specialist II to support our team. The primary responsibility involves managing personnel security functions for the customer's facility and organization, delivering daily PERSEC services for activities related to Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain tracking spreadsheets and databases for customer PERSEC activities.
- Assist with security awareness and education programs.
- Carry out various administrative support tasks as directed by the contractor site lead or Government Security Representative.
- Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with relevant government personnel to ensure appropriate clearance actions.
- Conduct reviews in the Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), Joint Personnel Access System (JPAS), and SAPNP for candidates seeking SAP access.
- Perform data entry and records checks in the Joint Access Database (JADE), and maintain all customer-sponsored personnel access information.
- Receive and transmit classified visit requests as needed to fulfill customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be accepted in place of a degree.
- 6 or more years of related experience.
- 4 or more years of relevant SCI experience.
- Familiarity with security policies and manuals, including applicable ICDs, JAFANs, DOD Manuals, and other guiding policy documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of SAP-related experience.
Clearance Requirements
- Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and similar items.
- Frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
- Regular communication with coworkers, management, and customers, which may include delivering presentations, requiring accurate information exchange.
