SCI Security Specialist II
Location: El Segundo, CA
Overview
ManTech is looking for a dedicated, career-focused, and customer-oriented SCI Security Specialist II to become part of our team. The main role is to act as a senior security specialist under the direction of the local Special Security Office (SSO), implementing guidelines and procedures for SCI and associated program functions, covering physical, personnel, information, and industrial security.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategies, policies, and procedures for SCI protection activities following DoD, DNI, and Air Force instructions.
- Address SCI incidents, liaise with headquarters, and oversee the reporting and resolution of incidents.
- Conduct training on the handling, safeguarding, and marking of classified materials.
- Verify and deliver training for SCI courier authorizations; serve as an SCI courier when necessary.
- Coordinate industrial security processes, assess performance work statements (PWS), and ensure correct execution of DD Form 254 for SCI contracts.
- Review, track, and supervise security clearance processing activities.
- Take part in Air Force SAP security compliance audits for both government and private sector entities.
- Perform Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII) and SAPNP reviews for SAP access candidates.
- Handle data entry and record checks in the Joint Access Database (JADE) and maintain personnel access data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or an additional 4 years of equivalent experience in place of a degree.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Must fulfill position and certification criteria stated in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 and Information Assurance Manager Level 1 within 6 months of employment.
- Must finish DISS/JPAS training within six months of commencing work on the contract.
- Should be knowledgeable about security policies and manuals, ICDs, JAFANs, DOD Manuals, and other relevant policy documents.
- Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR), potentially extensive travel involving air and ground transportation.
Clearance Requirements
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stay in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
- Occasionally needs to move within the office to reach file cabinets, office equipment, and similar items.
- Regularly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator and printer.
- Frequently communicates with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve giving presentations. Must be capable of exchanging precise information.
