Overview

This program provides completely free security officer training and job placement for qualified individuals. No prior experience is necessary. Successful graduates can begin earning $18 to $35 per hour, plus benefits.

Dislocated Worker (DW) Eligibility: You qualify if you are currently receiving unemployment benefits or have received unemployment (EDD) at any point in the last 18 months. A $100 gas card is provided following successful graduation and employment verification for those who are or have been collecting unemployment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or Identification Card
• Social Security Card
• Ability to pass an FBI Background Check (please disclose any issues for eligibility assessment)
• Ability to pass a Drug Test
• Currently receiving or have received unemployment within the last 18 months
• Proof of Layoff (Layoff Letter, if applicable)
• If male and 18 or older, must be registered with Selective Service (www.sss.gov)
