Hotel Maintenance Engineer / Handyman

Summary: We are looking for a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer / Handyman to become part of our team. This position involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and general care of hotel equipment and facilities to ensure a secure and pleasant environment for guests.

Key Duties

• Carry out regular maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and guest room fixtures.
• Address guest maintenance requests quickly and courteously.
• Handle general repairs in areas such as locks, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Follow all hotel safety guidelines and contribute to OSHA and safety initiatives.
• Participate in the Hotel's Emergency Evacuation Team.
• Work effectively with colleagues across departments and with external contractors.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Complete additional duties and projects as directed by management.

Qualifications and Prerequisites

• Solid technical expertise in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Certifications or equivalent experience in electrical work, HVAC-R, carpentry, plumbing, or refrigerant handling are a plus.
• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word, and Excel is advantageous.
• Ability and willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others.
