Diesel Technician II

Overview
Carry out fundamental to intermediate repairs on at least 80% of all vehicle systems, encompassing hydraulic systems, engine components, and transmission accessories. This role demands effective skills in welding, torch operation, and A/C systems. Duties include routine maintenance, inspections, and ensuring vehicles comply with all CHP, BIT, PM, and DOT standards. Must possess own tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 3+ years of heavy-duty tractor maintenance experience.
- 3+ years of experience working on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to perform welding and operate a compressed gas torch.
- Effective communication and computer skills for documenting tasks.
- Familiarity with vehicle parts and maintenance methods and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb heights up to 10 feet.
Schedule and Benefits
Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Occasional overtime may be required.
