Information Technology/Assurance Specialist III

Location: El Segundo, CA

Overview

ManTech is looking for a driven, career-focused individual to fill the role of Information Technology/Assurance Specialist III. This position involves supporting Special Access Programs for SMC Directorates and AFSPC Operational Units, delivering daily support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and SAP operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop intricate operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for designated computer systems.
• Oversee file servers, firewalls, network access, and Security Monitoring Systems, keeping all system documentation up to date.
• Investigate and resolve system irregularities to ensure peak equipment performance and assist with operational testing.
• Examine, prepare, and revise AIS accreditation packages, informing customers of any changes affecting certification status.
• Detect AIS vulnerabilities, apply effective countermeasures, and conduct routine self-inspections of AIS systems.
• Guarantee that all AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and decommissioned in strict compliance with security protocols.
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance to team members while handling account setups and help desk support.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an additional 4 years of experience in place of a degree.
• 8+ years of total related work experience.
• 6+ years of relevant SCI or SAP experience.
• Practical understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and data backup solutions, including communication security integration.
• Familiarity with security policy manuals such as ICDs, JAFANs, and DoD Manuals.
• Must achieve DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 and IAM Level 1 certification requirements within six months of hiring.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of SAP-related experience is strongly preferred.
• Completed training in Joint Security Implementation Guidance and Risk Management Framework.
• Practical knowledge and current experience with PL1 and PL2 systems; familiarity with PL3 and PL4 cross-domain solutions is advantageous.
• High degree of originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal need for supervision.

Clearance Requirements

Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility and willingness to undergo a polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50 percent of the time.
• Occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and other equipment.
• Frequent communication with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
