Overview

Become part of our DevSecOps Engineering Center of Excellence (R&D) in a crucial position focused on developing and improving security for Hologic diagnostic products and services. This role involves tracking cybersecurity risks, conducting vulnerability evaluations, and collaborating with engineering teams to enforce security protocols. The annual base salary for this role spans from $109,900 to $171,800, with eligibility for bonus compensation.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in:
    • Computer and network security.
    • Computer networking administration.
    • Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Software application testing and maintenance.
    • Cybersecurity Risk Assessment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise computer network infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networked, computer-based products.
  • Solid grasp of network design principles and practical knowledge of security analysis and protection tools.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to Hologic offices, training events, and customer locations.
  • Certifications in security-related fields, such as CISSP, are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Track industry developments for emerging cybersecurity threats and evaluate the risks to Hologic products.
  • Carry out and document vulnerability assessments against malicious attacks targeting Hologic products, offering support to product teams.
  • Assist product development efforts related to security and network vulnerability concerns.
  • Design and run comprehensive test procedures to validate operating system patches and antivirus software; create and automate test procedures based on lab environments.
  • Educate sales and service teams on network security and virus protection topics and issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to define and implement security requirements.
  • Regularly engage with Engineering and Field Service teams to ensure Hologic networked products meet customer performance standards.
