Search Engine Optimization Specialist

Compensation: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Overview

As the Search Engine Optimization Specialist at JDI Distribution, you will plan, execute, and manage SEO initiatives across multiple company websites to increase organic traffic and improve search visibility. This is a crucial role supporting the company's marketing and eCommerce strategy. This is an ON-SITE position ONLY; candidates must reliably commute to our Redlands, CA office.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to enhance organic traffic and keyword rankings.
• Conduct on-page, off-page, and technical SEO audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlinking campaigns to improve site authority.
• Utilize tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console to monitor performance and optimize site health.
• Leverage AI platforms (ChatGPT, Grok, and others) for content optimization, workflow automation, and research.
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams to align SEO strategy with content development.
• Work with the PPC Strategist to ensure SEO and paid media efforts are complementary.
• Provide detailed reporting and analysis of SEO performance with actionable recommendations.
• Stay updated with search engine algorithm updates, SEO trends, and emerging AI technologies.
• Ensure all SEO practices comply with Google Webmaster Guidelines and ethical standards.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of demonstrated SEO experience, ideally in eCommerce or multi-site environments.
• Strong proficiency with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
• Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in organic traffic, rankings, and site authority.
• Advanced AI prompting skills using platforms like ChatGPT, Grok, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with PPC advertising and ability to collaborate with paid media teams.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
