Matt Thompson – Private Drum Lessons

Greetings! I'm Matt, and I'm eager to assist you with your drumming journey. I provide in-person instruction at my Northridge studio or virtual sessions for learners of any age and experience level.

Service Overview

My teaching approach is enjoyable and tailored to each student. Whether you prefer organized curriculum, a desire to simply play with energy, or you're looking to resume drumming after a hiatus, I adapt lessons to match your objectives. My studio is fully outfitted with two drum sets.

Credentials and Experience

• Has been teaching private drum lessons full-time for nearly 10 years.
• Holds a Bachelor of Arts in music performance from M.I. and Berklee School of Music.
• Has been playing drums throughout his entire life.

Services Offered

• In-Person Lessons: Held at my professional studio in the Northridge/North Hills region (close to Nordhoff and Balboa). All gear is supplied; students only need to bring sticks.
• Online Lessons: Accessible through Skype, FaceTime, or Zoom for those learning remotely.

Student Information

• Ages: Learners of nearly all ages. Children should be at least 7 years old, with many adult students ranging into their 60s and 70s.
• Skill Levels: Everyone is welcome, from total novices to seasoned players aiming to improve.

Pricing

$80 for a 1-hour lesson
$50 for a 30-minute lesson

Rates are identical for online sessions. For children and virtual lessons, starting with a 30-minute session is advised.
